The new game modes are: Graveyard Ops: similar to Garden Ops mode from the previous game but now the zombies are on the defense and the plants are the aggressors. Imp : comes equipped with dual rapid-fire Imp Blasters and can call in a Z-Mech for reinforcement. Captain Deadbeard: uses a Scurvy Scattershot and the Spyglass Shot. Zombies Super Brainz: a melee fighter with short-range Heroic Fists but can also use a Heroic Beam for anything that's far away. Rose: she comes equipped with homing Magic Thistles, a Time Snare to slow down zombies, and a Goatify ability (transforms zombies into goats). Citron: can roll around the battlefield in its ball form, then switch into its attack mode using its Orange Beam. The new character classes for each side are: Plants Kernel Corn: comes equipped with dual Cob Busters, an explosive Shuck Shot, and a Butter Barrage air strike. However, this sequel adds additional gameplay modes as well as six new character classes. Zombies: Garden Warfare the game retains the previous game's online-only, class-based, third-person shooter gameplay. So now it is the plants' turn to go on offense and take back the suburbs. Zomboss, leader of the zombies, has finally taken over the suburbs from the defending plants. At the end of the first completion of each Survival Mode level, a trophy is received with money for any remaining Lawn Mower, Pool Cleaner, or Roof Cleaner. For each group of zombies, the plants the player previously had on the lawn and their sun remain, but Lawn Mower, Pool Cleaner, and Roof Cleaner are not renewed. They get to choose new seed packets to defend against a different group of zombies, five total, every one (normal) or two flags (hard) to continue building up their defenses. The player must survive multiple waves of zombies. Survival Mode is unlocked when Adventure Mode is beaten once. In some versions of the game, the player has to buy Puzzles from Crazy Dave's Twiddydinkies. It is unlocked after completing about half of Level 4-6 (Level 2-2 on iOS and Android). Puzzle Mode is a game mode that contains three separate puzzle types: Vasebreaker, I, Zombie and Last Stand (iOS and Android exclusive). Some mini-games are exclusive to other versions while some may replace other ones due to incompitability with the systems. ![]() They contain variants of the regular game, with a twist or change to make it feel different (and more fun). You are required to beat level 3-2 ( Level 2-2 on iOS and Android) of Adventure Mode to unlock Mini-games. ![]() Mini-games are a feature that is available on the Main Menu below Adventure Mode and in the iOS version, accessible through Quick Play. After the player finishes it, he or she can play this again or play other game modes. New plants are unlocked and added to the player's Suburban Almanac at the end of most levels. The player will meet all Suburban Almanac zombies in this mode. There are six areas that can be played, which are Day, Night, Pool, Fog, Roof, and Night Roof each with their own characteristics and different music. Adventure Mode is the first available mode in Plants vs.
